Last updated: October 2026. Guidelines regarding transaction reversals, merchant plans, and peer-to-bank settlements.
Because Lion UPI provides direct peer-to-bank settlements where customer funds credit immediately into the merchant's private bank account or UPI VPA (without sitting in an intermediary gateway escrow wallet), refunds for goods or services purchased must be initiated by the merchant directly to the customer via their banking app or UPI interface.
In the event of an erroneous or duplicate payment, end customers must contact the merchant with their 12-digit UTR reference number. Merchants can locate and verify any transaction instantly in their Lion UPI Dashboard under the Transactions ledger.
Merchants may cancel their monthly or annual API subscription at any time from their Merchant Dashboard. Upon cancellation, your API access will remain active until the conclusion of the paid billing cycle, with zero auto-renewal penalties.
